Imperial College London Consultants (ICON) (Dr Rautiu) is a wholly-owned company of Imperial College London specialised in managing and coordinating large multidisciplinary projects and in QA/QC for RTD activities with expertise and experts. ICON works together with many research organisations, companies and academia on a range of technology transfer and support projects as part of an ongoing programme to strengthen the research, innovatory and technological capabilities of SMEs. ICON has extensive experience in participating and managing large multidisciplinary projects across EU and with candidate country participation.

ICON worked previously as a contractor with DG Research, DG Environment, EuropeAid, JRC and other DGs, with other funding bodies such as World Bank, UK’s DfID, UK and international charities. ICON contributed to the building of the project Consortium and writing of the initial proposal. ICON has also core expertise in QA/QC and Validation of RTD activities. ICON through its dedicated Project Management Team will support the Project Manager and also the Coordinator in the Consortium Management, for any contractual and project running issues, for the knowledge management and towards an efficient dissemination of the findings. Through its experience in technology transfer and best practice, ICON will aim to create a common platform for the stakeholders with the aim to attract more stakeholders, SMEs and potential partners in widening the scope of the project (further outside funding required). ICON will deal with the validation and QA/QC of the research objectives by independently reviewing the outputs of the partners. Their main contribution is the project management (WP 11), they will lead WP 10 and make a contribution to some other WPs.
